Once upon a dreary January day, the new year had motivated Brenna to clean out her closet.  She had just read the subtle hint her mother had gifted her that was "The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying up" by Marie Kondo and so she began by dumping all of her clothes on the floor of the living room. The first step is to find three pieces of clothing that "spark joy."

She chose a silk dress, a cashmere sweater and a pair of skinny jeans. She realized that even though the dress was occasion specific, the other two summed up life. It's all about balance. Denim is versatile. You can find denim that is expensive or cheap, loud or subdued, crisp and new or worn-in and comforting, dress it up or dress it down - a pair for every style and mood.  And when you add the luxury of cashmere, you're immediately enveloped in a  cozy, chic, fashionable, beautiful confidence.

P.S. the Marie Kondo method was a horrible experience and possibly worsened Brenna's hoarder tendencies.
